Calibra® Bio Ceramic Luting Cement is a permanent, self-curing, radiopaque, water-based dental luting cememnt. It minimizes microleakage and protects marginal integrity, naturally, to help create longer lasting restorations. Calibra Bio creates a self-repairing hydroxyapatite layer to help ensure margins aren’t compromised in crowns and other restorations. And like all the Calibra cements Bio is easy to use (no priming or bonding required) and is easy to clean up excess cement.

How does the Self-Repairing Hydroxyapatite (HA) layer work?

Calcium and hydroxyl ions from the cement interact with phosphate ions in saliva to form the HA layer along preparation margins. If and when future damage to the restoratiion occurs saliva continues to interact with Calibra Bio to continuously repair the HA layer and enhance overall marginal integrity–thus creating a longer lasting restoration.
